The Beran Library provides free wi-fi to students, faculty, and staff of St. Mary's Seminary and/or the University of St. Thomas. While connected to the wireless internet in the library, patrons may access the online catalog and subscription databases from the University of St. Thomas. Printing is not available from personal computers at this time.
Computer Use Policy
The Beran Library has four public access computers for library research only.
The computers have access to the Beran Library's online catalog, UST OneSearch, and research databases.
Use of the public computers is reserved for students and faculty of St. Mary's Seminary and/or UST School of Theology. Priests, deacons, and religious of the diocese, diocesan employees, visiting scholars, and other visitors may use the computers for theological research purposes at the discretion of the librarian.
Printing at the Library
At this time the Beran Library offers limited printing capabilities.
From the public access computers you are able to print
- Journal articles accessed from any database
- PDF documents accessed online through cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive, or Drop Box)
Printing from flash storage devices is available on the two computers facing the west windows.
All printing is black and white and cost $0.05 per page.
There are two copy machines in Beran Library. One is on the first floor on the west side of the main desk. The second is on the second floor near the stairwell.
The cost to copy pages is 5 cents per page.
The copiers take one dollar bills and coins. Or you can buy a pre-paid copy card at the main desk for 50 cents.
